Whether you're here for a quiet solo breakfast or gathering with friends, the atmosphere makes you want to settle in and linger. It's the kind of place where the coffee is always hot, the chatter is light, and the pace is slow enough for you to enjoy your meal fully.

The menu is packed with an array of options, all thoughtfully crafted with fresh, local ingredients. Their breakfast choices are a highlight-served all day, of course. Lunch is equally impressive, with a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. The turkey club sandwich is a crowd favorite, loaded with fresh veggies and piled high with perfectly roasted turkey. It’s served with a side of golden fries that are hard to resist. For those looking for something lighter, their mixed greens salad with homemade vinaigrette is a refreshing choice that pairs well with any of their sandwich options.

What really sets Sunrise Cafe apart, though, is the service. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which makes every visit feel personalized. They’re more than happy to offer recommendations or make modifications to a dish if you ask. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the little details, from the beautifully presented plates to the way they remember your favorite order.

What People's Say About Place

We were walking Yellow Springs and stopped in for lunch. It wasn't that busy for a Friday, so we were seated immediately. The restaurant isn't that big, with booth seating along one wall. The inside casts a hippy vibe with lots of color and artfully painted walls. We both ordered the Sunrise chicken salad melts with a cucumber salad. I must say, the sandwich was quite tasty with the butter toasted bread and the chicken salad seasoned well and the melted cheese oozing out of the sides. Our server was friendly and attended to all our needs. A great bite of food.

Atmosphere may not be for everyone, but we loved the rustic charm and artwork. A great variety of food, carefully prepared and amazingly delicious. Our salmon, buger, sides and pie were 5 star delicious

Amazing menu selection, remarkable coffee, and let me tell you about the pancakes. As if you need to know anything else, they're served with clarified butter; a clear sign from the kitchen staff that you're loved. The edges were crispy giving each bite a bit of a European pastry effect. Lastly, the bacon is not average. Thanks, Shawnee for your fast and friendly service with a smile! (p.s. local word is that Dave C. eats here - IYKYK)

Visiting from out of town and came across this gem, I recommend you call ahead to see if there is a wait. We had one couple ahead of us but got seated pretty quickly. The host is a vibe! Love them. After getting seated we were greeted quickly. The menu is big and I wanted to try it all. I ended up doing their pumpkin pancakes, potatoes, eggs, and sausage. My husband had Huevos rancheros and a pancake. Coffee was great, loved it all. The potatoes were a favorite! The pancakes had crispy edges and it was delicious. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

When I tell you the service is so friendly I mean it!!! Absolutely coming here like every week. They have amazing people and amazing food. Love love love it!!! We had a little bit of a wait but it was well worth it

Okay, so the first picture is my breakfast I had which I dug right into before taking a picture. It was the kimchi omelette with sourdough toast. Absolutely fantastic. Beside are the pumpkin pancakes. Want to talk about foodgasam they were crispy around edges and soft in the center. They give you melted butter to pour over with the syrup that's on the table. Second and third photo is dinner.. YES I went back for dinner because it was that darn good!. The cocktail is a rosemary whiskey sour as the card says behind it. ABSOLUTELY fantastic cocktail. I had two. As for dinner I had a buffalo Vicks burger. As it states on the menu "A true chef’s choice garbage burger! Please mention anything you definitely DO NOT want on your burger! Anything goes with the Vick Burger!" It was absolutely fantastic. The extras he stuck on were artichoke, roasted red peppers pickles carrots, tomato, and spinach. The side is their potato soup loaded . I can't say enough or am I really able to describe the flavor of everything. It just shows someone knows where their doing in that kitchen. Atmosphere had cool vibes and staff were friendly and on top of it both breakfast and dinner. Id definitely have an issue going there every if I didn't live 2 hours away!!

Love this little cafe! Great service and relaxing atmosphere. I had the Classico Pasta. Delicious. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Also had a dirty Martini, quite enjoyable.

I absolutely love the hummus and pita sandwich! My husband opted for the mushroom Swiss. If you’re health-conscious, they have a great selection of options. The flavors were delicious!
